-
BE (Proof Quality) : The highest quality of numismatic minting. BE quality coins are flawless and usually have matt relief and a mirror-finish background.
-
BU (Universal Brilliant): Intermediate numismatic minting quality. Coins minted in BU quality are slightly brighter than UNC quality coins.
-
Oz (Ounce or Once) : International unit of mass used for precious metals, exactly equivalent to 31.1034768 grams.
-
Titration: Concentration of a substance in a whole. Example: Titration in silver at 999.9‰ means that the coin is composed of 999.9‰ pure silver.
-
UNC (Uncirculated): Common numismatic minting quality for coins intended for circulation. The collector coins sold on our site have not been circulated and come directly from rolls, bags or tubes. There are, however, differences between issuing institutes/manufacturing workshops. Some of them produce coins with defects as soon as they are rolled (traces of oil, micro-scratches, small bumps, etc.).
