    This Australian Kookaburra bullion coin is one of the most popular silver bullion coins in the world. Since 1990, the Perth Mint has minted the Kookaburra in different weights (2 ounces, 10 ounces, 1 kilo, etc.) and with designs that change every year.

    . In 2023, the design features two kookaburras perched on branches. They are surrounded by the Waratah flower, a species of Australian native flower that is the emblematic flower of the state of New South Wales.

    The inscription “KOOKABURRA”, the traditional mint mark “P” (Perth Mint) and the year of issue, weight and silver titling complete the design.

    The reverse shows the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Jody Clark, and its face value in Australian dollars (AUD$).

    The kookaburra is the largest member of the kingfisher family and is Australia's national bird.
